Experience
I currently work with private clients as part of my own practice. I have previously worked with several local GP practices and with two local counselling agencies – Life Changes Community Counselling Service in Southampton and Life Story Therapeutic Centre in Reading. I also spent three and a half years working as a volunteer for a large UK charity offering emotional support over the telephone.
I am also the secretariat co-ordinator for the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Prescribed Drug Dependence and the project lead for the group responsible for the Guidance for Psychological Therapists: Enabling conversations with clients taking or withdrawing from psychiatric drugs.
In addition to my practice I have also worked as a Lecturer and Programme Convenor at the University of Roehampton, and as a tutor at Peter Symonds College (Adult & Higher Education).
Before becoming a counsellor I worked as a senior manager for several blue chip financial services companies and a well known conservation charity.
