About me

My training has been founded on a belief in the importance of our unique experience of the world as individuals. Our sessions therefore will be led by whatever is important for you to talk about, helping me to understand your experience of the world and how you’ve arrived at this point in your life.

Whilst my training has covered several schools of thought in some depth (such as person centred therapy, existential and psychoanalysis and some more postmodern ideas), the overall ethos has been more in the nature of a philosophical apprenticeship through which I have learned to think for myself. I have therefore developed an integrative approach in which I strive to think about the implications of the various theories for each person I work with and how they might help cast a different light on a situation or issue.
In line with UKCP and BACP membership requirements I receive regular professional supervision for my work.
